Intelligence assessment
An intelligence test provides more than a single number. It shows where your strengths lie and where things are harder – or those of your child.
What is assessed?
Modern intelligence tests cover different areas of thinking, for example verbal comprehension, logical and spatial reasoning, working memory and processing speed. This creates a profile that shows how differently these abilities are developed. We use standardised, scientifically validated procedures that suit the age and the question.
Typical reasons
- Suspected giftedness
- Learning or performance difficulties with an unclear cause
- School decisions such as school entry, skipping a grade or changing schools
- Applications for exam accommodations (German: Nachteilsausgleich)
- Orientation before a decision about studies or career
- As part of a broader assessment, for example when ADHD is in question
How does the assessment work?
- Initial consultation: We clarify your question and select the appropriate procedures.
- Testing: Depending on age and procedure, the testing itself takes about 1.5 to 3 hours – with breaks.
- Evaluation: We evaluate the results and place them in the context of your question.
- Report and feedback: You receive a written report with a performance profile and discuss the results and recommendations with us.
Good to know
Test results also depend on how you feel on the day. If possible, plan the testing for a day when you or your child are well rested and healthy.
