Clinical assessment
When emotional difficulties weigh on everyday life, a careful evaluation helps: what lies behind them, and which next steps make sense?
What is it about?
Psychological difficulties are varied and often overlap. A clinical psychological assessment evaluates them systematically. It clarifies whether a mental health condition is present, which one it is and how pronounced it is. The result is a well-founded basis for decisions, for example about psychotherapy or specialist medical treatment.
We assess a broad range of questions, for example:
- Low mood, exhaustion and mood swings
- Anxiety, worries and compulsions
- Consequences of distressing experiences
- Difficulties in dealing with emotions and in relationships
- Problems with eating behaviour
- Emotional and behavioural difficulties in children and adolescents
Who is the assessment for?
- Adults, children and adolescents with emotional difficulties who would like to understand them better
- People who would like to gain clarity before starting psychotherapy
- People who would like a second opinion on an existing diagnosis
How does the assessment work?
- Initial consultation: We get to know you and your concerns.
- Structured interviews: We record your difficulties systematically according to established diagnostic criteria.
- Questionnaires and tests: Standardised procedures complete the picture – for children also assessments by parents and school.
- Report and recommendations: You receive a written report and discuss the results and possible next steps with us.
